A skilled guitarist fiddler and songwriter, Barry Nisbet performs in Shetland dialect and in English, his songs giving a sensitive take on past and contemporary events.
His fiddle style derives from the rare Shetland tradition of the Cullioe Fiddlers.
As likely to be seen at the wheel of a tall ship as on a festival stage, Barry runs the 'Sessions and Sail' voyages.
