Whether you are a beginner or seasoned crafter there will be much to inspire you.

The exhibition will include:

Work in Progress: View a partially bound textblock on a traditional sewing frame, surrounded by sewing tools and equipment.

Diverse Sewing and Folding Techniques: Explore various styles of sewing, from simple stab stitches to elaborate medieval methods, and some of the many variations on folded books demonstrating the versatility and artistry involved in bookbinding.

Finished Books Display: A varied selection of completed, beautifully-crafted books.

A Demonstration Table: Learn the process of covering boards with decorative book cloth and marbled paper, bringing the craft to life through step-by-step visuals.

Behind-the-Scenes Photos: Personal photographs on the walls capture different stages of the binding journey; creating, binding, and finishing books.

A launch/private view event for the exhibition will take place at Halton Mill between 6pm - 8pm Sunday August 12. Free entry. All welcome.
